Do you want it looking original, as in bare? I forget which one I did it to but I clear coated one so it looks very original but should stay nice looking a long time.

good idea Carl , i will clear coat it , i want the orig look ..........if i am not wrong , you could get clear coat in a rattle can, is it as good as spraying it with a gun ?????

Yes, I did a rattle can, I think it's Plastikote paint I used. It seems to me I gave the tank a good wipe down first with an alcohol cleaner, likely Brakeclean (love that stuff) and then painted it.
