new guy with a 67 Acadian coupe

Hi everyone, just joined lately and last weekend just traded my big lifted 71 Gmc 4x4 with way to much spent on it for a 67 Acadian coupe. Has the optional 325hp 327 in it with a few add ons so about 400hp. Total resto on the body and even the ralley wheels. Interior has a few upgrades which is much appreciated. No powerglide anymore but a T350 in it's place. Will post a few cell phone pic's and take better ones later. Looking forward to learning about Pontiacs in general. This car is very close to the 67 Nova I had years ago, but way cooler being Canadian.

Nice to get back to a car again...with a bit of muscle.

Welcome from Regina. That's quite the nice little car you have.

I like the seats, what were they originally from? Also the console looks pretty current. Good looking car overall.

Thanks for the welcome everybody, nice site you have here. Will be around when I am not working. I am a gas fitter by trade "now" so major busy with heating these days, well at least all winter. The name Mudman is frome years ago I used to build and race 4x4's in Nippawin Sask but just had enough of spending a lot and always breaking parts, so hard to race mud and cruise on the street with the same machine. My Email is mud.mad.rj and even my truck now car plates so going to hear a "lot" about them on the car, all good though still my Email, plus conversation piece too. haha. So many Acadians on here, I guess they are a rare compared to the 67 Nova I used to have.

Pretty sure this is the same car...not positive. If it is, I drove it a summer or two ago when it was for sale in Lumsden Sk. It was advertised as a 350 back then with camel hump heads and a turbo 350.

Thanks for the post, I do believe it is the same car but sure a lot nicer now, color too. Thanks again and the Trout festival will see it on main street for sure this coming year. I did run the #'s and the engine did come up as a 66 327 even the heads, so glad for that. But does have a T350 trans, also glad to be rid of the powerglide, not much for 2 speeds.

Can you post a closeup on the end of the cylinder head? I thought those had bolt holes in the end (tough to see) and that only started later on.

Not picking on your car, just trying to make sure you have original stuff!
