63 Laurentian low miles but no eng/trans $850 kijiji Sask

Looks like it would be a low-buck way to get into a decent old cruiser if you have an engine/trans laying around.   For the more industrious, would make a nice little 4-speed sleeper, pedals are already there...

At least the owner put bounce sheets in it to keep out the mice!

That homemade gauge box is interesting. Looks like something a cabby would rig up.

Radio & clock delete!!! Both frt. fenders have holes!! But still for the $$$ it would make a "neat" street machine with a V8 & 4 or 5 spd. Too hard to have shipped as it's a Non Runner, & too far too go with the trailer, from Ont.!!!!

Priceless, eh?  On the other hand it would be more functional than those gauges mounted underdash waiting to take the skin off your shins like I see in many old cars...  does anybody really look down past their knee while driving in order to monitor those gauges?

I am an electronics guy with no car experience- What engine would that have come with- A six I know but what will fit? WOuld a 289 or 327 be able to drop in there or would you have to custom fitthe motor mounts and other things?

I am in Sask and as a teen ager there were a number of those cars bought up by other kids that put them through hell and usually the only way the car died was a rollover or a crash. Seemed indestructable. If a six cyl and tranny can be had for a fe whundred somewhere it would make an awesome little runabout that holds all the groceries and stuff, or all my guns and shells I need for 4 trips a week to the gun range.

Any Chevy 6 cyl, 250 cu.in or any SBC [small block chevy]V8 283 327 350 will pretty well "Bolt right in" with the right mounts!! Need the bell hsg. clutch & flywheel & trans. to get it going or put a 4spd & floorshift!! Wouldn't take a whole lot to do this!!!
