Just finished watching this device on Gearz on speed TV[5 min. ago] It allows you to see if T/Stat is working while it's running!!! COOL or should i say 180d warm!!!

Yes that is its purpose, you can tell if your fluid is contaminated or if air is in your system and if your therm is open or closed..
