2 66 Sd's for sale.1 convertible .1 hardtop. (RED CONVERTIBLE SOLD!)

After some serious thought I have made a desicion to sell my 2 1966 SD's.Realistically I haven't got the time to enjoy them all and really it's a shame so I want to pass them along to who ever  may be interested. At this point I don't have any photos to attach, but there are some shots around the site thta 427 Carl may help stick up,he's the best at that. The 66 SD convertible is red on red,283/turbo350,the engine is not original to the car,I believe its 63 era,I have a rebuilt era correct 283/300 HP,w era correct 2spd that can go with the car,and a concours gardner exhaust system, full set fuel and brake lines as well as other misc, parts that a buyer could want, with this being said the price for that car would be at 38K.without the engine and all the above mentioned jewellry it would be 32K.All the trim and mouldings are complete and in nice condition, the car is very solid, and it's appearance is very nice. There is no rust and paint is very nice.......Next The 66 SD hardtop. This car has 40,000 original miles on it,the ivory interior is amazing in it's condition, which I believe is original, the door panels are beautiful, carpet shows small but minor wear. The dash looks crisp and gauges clear. The bodt on the car is very nice, the paint is not original colour however,it was a GM cream colour.Whoever painted it black did a very nice job,it was stripped down to cover everything cleanly. The running gear is all era correct but not original. It is a 327 car/300 HP w/2spd with a small shift kit, carb, distributor, manifolds are all correct. This car has a gartner concours exhaust system on it,as well as all new brake, fuel, lines, and all original clips from in line tubing, the radiator is new,all the brakes are new, with a front brake conversion kit.The car has only had break in oil changed, and the motor is not had a chance to fully break in yet,I think I may have 3hrs on the car.The paint was cut polished when the car was completed, the wheels are new 8" ralleys with BFG red line radials, evry bit piece and part has had attention, and brought back to original in everyway that I could. This car not not make a squeek,it's reaaly a pleasure to drive. With all this being said I'M asking 40 K for this car.The trim on this car is exceptional.Thank you all for the time to check all this out,I'll be asking Carl Stephenson to post some pictures of these cars as I toss them to him,I'll try to do this soon.Mainland B.C. is the location of these vehicles,it's obviously easier to deal locally but of coarse they are available to all. Thanks again.

The holes in the front fender on the black one, because the prevoius owner thought it was cool to put big block emblems on the car have been welded and the paint re blended, this picture is pre fixing those holes, and cut polish.

Here's some more pics.

I had the special double wammy price for the 2 66"s and upon further review I'm sorry but this introductory offer is now off the table. The price for the hard top is 38K,and the rag is now 30K.Man that black car is nice.I realized yesterday when pulling it out of the shop and swapping redlines onto 68 and T/A's on 66.Pretty hard to find a nicer 66 hardtop than that one.It was really looking good.

Trucker I don't think you know what you want to do, you are bored man. You get this beautiful car done up and you aren't sure whether to keep it or sell it or trade it plus your other two beauts and it changes from day to day. You have to spend some time and enjoy them in whatever way yours is, either to show them or drive them. I think it is a shame to go through all this work and headache and then be thinking just to get rid of it especially if you don't have to. I realize they are just cars and can be treated as any other commodity. The other route is just create a collection and be happy to share about them.

I think all that Jmont is suggesting is that those are beautiful cars that he hopes you are maximizing some enjoyment out of them before you move any of them, because man... there is a lot of potential enjoyment there!
On a similar note, one evening I was on line looking at old 'vettes for sale. My daughter happen to cruise by, saw what I was looking at, and with the evil eye asked me where she and her sister were going to sit? Clearly I won't be upgrading soon.
I hope you enjoy that big block 4 speed rag a little Trucker, regardless of what you do vehicle wise.

I look at these '66's and realize that at some point I may have to spring for some of the DT body line SD trim. Kind of like the fender skirt debate, it's just the right thing to do...

To be honest all I've done is work every day for the past 7 years, and I'm sick of it (not unlike anyone else)but at a stupid pace.....You know what I found out? It sucks, and the important things in life like my wife and kid are blowing by,all I want to do is enjoy my family and get some me time,I'll always have a toy of some kind, always have, what I've learned from life is that all the money and possesions don't mean a thing, money doesn't make you happy, only miserable.Don't worry one way or another I'll be cruisin',you can bet on that.Jmont is right, slow down and relax and enjoy.I will I promisew

I had just started with a reply but saw your last one here and I understand where you are coming from. And as far as a hug goes I have lots of those and they don't cost a penny. Many times tradespeople have said to me when we are building an expensive house that they wish they had this guy's money and my first reply is you know what. I think us working schmucks here overall are alot happier and have alot less stress and things to worry about than these guys and all their money. Having said that you need money for sure but back to what has been said many times, balance is the key and that is sometimes difficult. I like where you are at with your plan to enjoy with them and with your family. As I get older I am another one that will say time just flies by too fast for those times. I gave up quite abit of work time to enjoy my kid's activities and I may be a little poorer but I am a whole lot richer than any millionare in the memories and the relationship I have with my kids. I just want to come across right here too in that I am no one special but I just try to pass along what has helped me. So will continue to enjoy hearing on your activities with these beautiful cars.
