This is the car I looked at for Pete (custom69) it has quarters put on with large overlaps instead of butt welding along the top seam so she got some mud in her. Also some rot in the floor and trunk. Would need lower fender patches as both are mud that's bubbling and pulling up , the car would be a good start but the guy thinks its worth that. He was asking 17K and has come down but I looked over ever inch of the car and frame is solid and it is a older resto on it. Probably a 7-8K car imho. I took a lot of pics that show its true colors as the pics he has posted don't tell the tale. Pete was still considering it and looked into shipping back to Ontario but I don't the guy will go that low as what the car is really worth.

If anyone wants the pics I took just give me a shout.

The car's full of rust!!!!!! Door's,fender's,1/4's,floors.......where does it end.It could turn quickly into a money pit.Imho that is.

Very true , funny thing is , is the seller thinks the car has no rust!! When I showed him a pic of the floor rot that has the wood patch showing he was shocked! Like he never looked over his car before lol or trying hide it which it sticks out like a sore thumb.

My 70 lemans didn't show the rust like this one does....and I ended up replacing outer trunk, toe kicks, inner front rockers, outer left rocker, passenger a pillar , and various floor patches. Never mind the full 1/4, fender bottoms and mint doors that I scored, even found a minty trunk . I was driving the 70 up until the winter I pulled it apart for a ' freshening ' would of put it up for sale for around 8 g .......it didn't look that bad, but once it got in to it....... Well, we all know the story!

I got a lot more as well. The thing that's odd is the seller really thinks he has a car that is in great shape and well worth the asking price! Bone stocker that's tired and like Rog has said and like I have experienced once you dig into a car like this it will turn into a full frame off resto but if one had 30K it would be a beautiful ride and oh ya hundreds of hours if you could do the work yourself!!

wow some picture show some P O R work paint over rust , i didnt know you can do your final coat with P O R and no bondo under the red paint also , neat!

13 gs and you have to tear it up !!!!!!!!!!!!
