65 Parisienne convertible RHD

I haven't seen an RHD interior like this before. Its supposed to be a Powerglide car. Has anybody seen an original LHD car that looked like this?

BTW - she's asking $35000!

I'm not a 65 guy but I'm thinking it's a reupholstered 65 Custom Sport interior?

It has the grilles but no other clues to show it's a CS that I know of.

not sure about that but we will find out tomorrow when our 65 guys wake up. I just noticed the 66 tail lights so this could be a Jonny Cash one peice at a time car.

Well, duh, I saw those and it never clicked, even though I commented on it having CS grilles.....

Must be bedtime in Manitoba.

Pretty sure that's an aftermarket wheel.

I see those on ebay and I think in Ames Catalogue as well as other repro suppliers.

I really like the interior. Nice! I just think they could have been more creative with the console shape and covering ... too "blocky" and I don't like the "ribbed" look on it.

You touched on something I don't think I've ever commented on here but I notice people thinking that power antennas slant back on Canadian Pontiacs the same way the US cars did. I am not certain about 65 but I know it's as you say on 66. My 66 Grande 4 speed car that I bought in 1981 had a factory power antenna, vertical.

Its an aftermarket antenna as well, i like the slant back look on my '52 and with the antenna slanted back it creates less wind noise :) Looks like they were trying to match the seats/console with the "ribbed" door panels, they just used too much underpad foam on the console. The console could be a little thinner and different switches could have been used in front of the power window switches. The console actually looks like a cross between the camaro/firebird of late 70's/mid80's. Still a great looking car and interior, cant knock anything about this car because everything fits together great.

All I can confirm is the front end (grills) are 65 but not CS.  Looks to me like a 66 with a 65 front clip.

I remember a while back there was a car for sale with the opposite - 66 front, 65 back.

Well,

I'd say the console is "custom" made, as the shifter boot looks suspiciously mid 80's Dodge (think Omni/Horizon), Steering Wheel is definitely aftermarket..nice looking car..not sure it's worth what they are asking..I suspect they are trying to get what they have tied up in the restoration back out of it. Being one of about a half dozen built for the Australian market might make it a bit more valuable..but still a stretch I would think...

Driving RHD across the pond isn't that hard to get the "hang" of, just takes some practise & have your head on straight. I did it in 99 when over in the UK, You just have to think about it when doing turns at intersections where no 'round a bouts' are used. The "wierd' part for me was shifting gears with my left hand. Within a hour I felt comfortable with it!!!!

vertical antenna on my 64 Impala  SS from the factory. Was mounted directly above the rear 1/4 SS emblem, altho I saw others with it mounted further foreward. Don't recall many Canadian cars having the rear  slanted antennas; definately late fifties to early 60's

I think GM used the 65 Impala dash 65-68 on rhe rhd pontiacs. The 59 Impala dash was used 59-64 on rhd cars. I think i got it correct but correct me if i'm wrong
