And the award for the dirtiest beaumont goes to................................

Oil sprayed it 3 times this winter(so far).  and haven't really washed it.  but its not getting any more rust.

I now drive it 10 miles a day to work,  right thru the heart of winnipegs downtown saltmines.  What a fantastic car,  everyone should own one of these.  -40, extreeme amounts of snow,  worst icy roads in decades in winnipeg,  heavy commuter traffic,  its seen it all, and done it all.

No worries,  none of the "good parts" are on it.  those are the worst of my stack of acadian "A" caps,  the beaumont ones are all tucked away.

I bet you sleep well at night Dave.

I had a '83 moredoor Omega in about the same shape that I used to drive around and also park on the streets of Toronto in the late 90's. I slept every night knowing the car would be there the next morning the way I left it the night before.s

It reminds me of the 70 Biscayne 4 door daily driver I had a few years ago. That car would drive through anything.

It was also oiled to death

Yep. $750 certified. His wife's parents bought it new. You know the car?

Sandbags in the trunk for winter driving (or does the trunk fill up with sand on it own through the floor boards)?

You've got that right. That's what a lot of people run here.

The only downfall is that they chew up the roads. By spring (which hasn't really arrived here yetc) all the painted road markings are worn right off.

I bought an identicle car a few years back for a parts car, 50K original paint, no holes. My dad got his hands on it and guess what, now it's his summer car. Dave, do you still have the convertible?
