No kidding, eh?

If they are good, it will sure bring down the price of the originals. At least it worked that way on the 66-67 Nova console. They hit $1000 or more until the repro came out.

Just ask the seller if he will. Sometimes they make exceptions.

Carl is only a half hour from the border so shipping isn't an issue for those two guys

I am looking at one 65wagon has a line on here on CPoncho. I also called the seller for the repro that is on ebay and they have everything, inserts and all. They have no problem shipping to Canada. They won't have them in for another 3 or so weeks. I am hoping the original one 65 wagon knows about is intact. Can anyone tell me that the inserts off the auto console will interchange, I can see that the ashtray and part around shifter won't, but am thinking the cubby hole door and front and back courtesy lights will be same.

I believe you have that 100% correct.

I sold a very complete'64 4-speed console to a member on this site for a very good price. I figured for me just to make it look very good would cost at least $600.00 dollars in repro parts (floor mounts, aluminum inserts, light lenses, shift cover, shift handle, etc. Putting in an era correct 4-speed console is not cheap.

Good post by Michael explaining what inserts I was talking about. If you find a 4spd console make sure its complete with all the pieces especially the compartment door/lid. They are hard to find not bent or broken, Just the compartment door it self sells for good money in good shape.. Take your time and find a good complete one, it will be easier in the end.
