1967 Beaumont 396 4 speed for sale not mine

Hi all, A friend of mine in the BC Valley just sent me this link. Looks rough but not sure if it's been seen here before. Be interesting to see the GM docs on this!

1967 - $8,000 in BC.
It seems to be missing the S/D trim, photos don't show me if the rear 1/4 panel lips (if needing replaced) & does it have a number match original drivetrain ??

The SD badges were removed and holes filled holes with bodo when it was painted white. The owner told me the tranny was from a Corvette. The tunnel hump was all cut up and floor looked like swiss cheese.

Correct. It's an A51 "Custom-Sport" model. This car had SD badges, whether it came from factory that way ...or done by the owner, the holes were visible.

musta been installed later - its a beaumont custom '736' with A51 built after the introduction of the Sport Deluxe '738', even if it were an early '736' custom sport deluxe it would have had L34 on the cowl tag to be a big block car, base L35 never showed up until the '738' sport deluxe, also early '736' cars had side louvers

Did all the pre Dec A51 package customs have a flat hood and the side louvers?

Yes - and the cutoff date seems to be about the 3rd week of November 1966. Six cylinder, small block & big block V8 cars all looked the same except that the 6-cylinder cars lacked the V8 badge. All 396 cars had F70x14 tires (red or white stripe) on 6" wheels as standard for '67, while they were an uncommon option on the rest. What 67BBSD said about the L35/L34 is true.
