A few pics of my 72 Firebird

Just a few pics of what I have done so far and where I am at on my project.

I am a little farther along then this firewall pic shows. I have it totally stripped down to metal now from the firewall back to the rear end. I am hoping to get the firewall painted this weekend and then the underneath of the car finished stripped down and undercoated with bedliner by the end of next week so I can start putting her back together.

Thinking about a 2 tone paint job different then I have ever seen on a Firebird but still undecided about that. For the drive train I have swapped out the 2.73 open rear gear with a 3.23 Posi. Put a stage 2 shift kit in a TH350 for the transmission, I will be upgrading the TH350 to something else sometime in the future when I decide what to go with. Pulled the stock 350 Pontiac out of it and am building a Pontiac 400 with an Eagle 461 stroker kit, KRE heads, Comp X274 cam, Edlebrock RPM intake with a Quick Fuel Technology 780 CFM carb. Hoping to get somewhere over 500 HP on the engine. Put a Competition Engineering Slide a Link traction device on it. Planning on a brake upgrade in the future also.
