76 Olympic edition GMC truck. 350 GM performance crate engine Edelbrock air gap intake, 600 carb. Headers with new full duals ( mellow not loud ) exiting in factory location behind rear wheels. Th 350 transmission ,12 bolt rear axle 3:08 gearing.

Bought as a father and son project. Son lost interest leaving  me with the unfinished pickup. I was really looking forward to finishing this up for him . However , I have a few  projects of my own  and this one has to go... Truck needs paint and interior work. Has new rocker panel and cab corners installed. Southern box. Good condition for an Ontario truck.

Lots of documentation . GM paperwork says  it is  one of 600 built with the Olympic package.
. Understand this Truck yard drives but needs work to be a daily driver. I just want my money back out of it and not interested in trades.

When they were new, some people were all about the "special edition" status not really knowing what makes a vehicle truly special. Because of that I looked upon them with disdain when they were new. Today I have had a change of heart because it truly is a Canadian special edition that just isn't seen anymore. That truck looks pretty nice.

All ZE2 Olympic Editions were based on the Sierra Grande trim level, 1 up from the bottom Sierra. The other trim levels offered '75 - '87 on regular trucks were High Sierra (2nd from the top) and the Sierra Classic (top of the line).

I'm pretty sure we've seen this before, as I recognize the incorrect Montreal '76 Olympic emblems.

I was going to say, but wasn't 100% sure.

If it's one and the same, it's been for sale on & off in NS for at least the past 3 years.

It was on this site a couple of years ago for sale in NB (http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/t38336922/76-gmc-olympic-edition-nb-kijiji/), after which the current owner purchased it, put some money and work into it (father/son project as mentioned in the ad) and is now wanting to get out of it as his son has lost interest.

I know the current owner (he is a Mopar guy who has several other old cars and trucks on the go), and he doesn't want to put any more time/money into it.  The truck doesn't interest him, and since his son no longer has any interest he just wants to make it go away and get his money back out of it.
