67 Beaumont Wagon

Came across this pic from a few years ago. Well tomorrow is a great day - the flatbed will be picking her up for a trip to the mechanics shop.  Hope to be driving her home within a week.

What a great looking car. Is it as in good shape as the older photo shows ?

That has to be the black one with gold interior from B.C. with a 283. There can't be more than one of those that have survived.

Well after sitting on blocks for too long it got picked up today and went to my mechanic to make it safe - hoping to hit a local A&W rod run!  Needs a good washing and overall cleaning.  The orange one is a 65 AH Sprite black plate.

Yes you are right. Michael's Dad left it to him ... he learnt how to drive on it.

Someone asked before if that wagon came with 6" wide wheels. It is ironic, but the wagons were the only body style that year in the Chevelle & Beaumont lines that didn't offer them. 5" wide wheels were all they came with. The 6" wide wheels came only with the F70-14 tires, and those were not offered on the wagons.

For 1966 the U.S.-built SS396 models came with 6" wide wheels with the 7.75-14 tires, but not so in Canada on the Malibu SS & Beaumont Sport Deluxe even with the 396.

6" wide wheels came standard on the full-size wagons as standard, and on all Canadian full-size Pontiacs starting with 1968 models (to sort of approximate the Wide Track theme that really was true in the U.S.)
