I have heard it said that it was a GM Canada-only colour, though I don't believe that. Actually that colour was added when the new 2nd gen F-body Camaros & Firebirds made their delayed 1970 introduction. The Z/28 is shown in the 1970 brochure in Citrus Green. I remember a 1970 Firebird in Ancaster back in the early 1970s, plus a 1970 Strato Chief in Hamilton, a 1970 Impala Sport Coupe in Mount Hope from new, a 1970 U.S. Bonneville coupe in Florida seen in 1972, plus a 1970 Oshawa-built Lemans hardtop coupe around 1977 with a factory orange Chevy 350 (badged as a Pontiac 350) & a Powerglide. There was even a 307-powered Citrus Green 1970 Malibu sport coupe in my neighborhood with a black vinyl roof (it was written off in 1971).

Citrus Green was a late introduction colour for 1970 and was carried into 1971 using a different name (Lime Green) but the same code.

I love that shade of green. It looks pretty close to what Buick offered in '71 (Lime Mist)

Apparently the code 43 color was a Canadian only option color for the LS5 cars but don't quote me.I had a buddy who had an LS5 bench 4 speed code 43 with pearl white interior and the back seat had never been sat in.It only had 50k mi on it.One of the prettiest Chevelles I have ever seen. The 43 color was available on Chevy's up until '72 I think.I have another buddy who has a code 43 '71 Z/28 LT1 4 spd(M22 one of I think 1200+ made with that tranny option) car with 70+k mi on it and the original motor was stolen in the early '80's,but they do know who has it.Zero rust -the only clincher is that the second owner didn't like that color green so he had it painted a darker green. Very similar to my '11 Ram color-Hunter Green.I think that color green is one of the nicest colors GM ever put out.MHO of course-and I really like green!!!!

Prettiest Chevelle I have ever seen was a 69 300 2dr post with the 396 and rock crusher Muncie. Car had a green bench seat interior and the body colour was Burnished Brown. Only Chevelle I have ever seen in that colour. It sold at B.J. for 55 -60k. Car was gorgeous!
