The cynic in me thinks that a lot of those so called "charity draws" for cars don't have a winner except for the owner of car ... the owner keeps the car AND the money in the end.

seems the market for old cars is not slow... not dead... its just not there....gone

come on guys - this is a sweet little Malibu - lets get the word around

John took a call today from a fellow in Windsor  

He had e-mailed before, but.... we had been dealing with a wanna be who was skating us......

anyway..  He arrived at noon, meet with John at storage place..  He had his gloves, and light..    

Checked out bottom of Chevelle   took for a ride    

He wanted to "see" me, as John had listed it as his Dads car..    John called me, and said fellow offered 11,500   I said  "thank him" for coming  LOL  

next minute John called, and he went for our bottom of 12g      

I then went to to meet "new owner"    Nice fellow with pregnant wife....

He wanted a Chevy, but had looked at a 12g Dodge Dart 340, but the rear frame rails were rotted out..    

Turns out his DAD HAD ONE   He found pictures of his dads 69 Black Malibu  

and of interest  he had "his set" of MTO books with him...  he even had his MTO badge    

He knew he could but his plates on it and have 6 days to change over....

so 120 x 100.00  and he was on way to Windsor   name is Richard Vaillancourt

so its gone....  and Corvette is gone....   and all I have is a large bag of cash   

I bought a ton of cars (corvettes) from Leo's Auto Sales in Seaforth Ont.....  The sign said    Cash Talks -- Bullshit Walks

Heres copy of a reply from New Owner   (Windsor)   His father had a 69 Black Malibu when Richard was little..

Drove the car home, ran perfect. Listened to the am radio and it was just Like being in 1969. My dad took it around the block, and I thought he was gonna keep it. Thanks again
