Two convertibles

Thses are both listed on kijiji Edmonton and both have 396's! I have seen  the more expensive one some years back and its a nice basket case car. In my opinion no basket case should go for that kind of money espically since you'll need another car and a lot more money and time to put it back together. 396 does add to the value but still...

Odd that two of same kind of rare car is offered at the same time.

What these guys don't understand is that basket cases are worth maybe a quarter of what a running car would be worth.

As I always say, "where's the glue and instructions?"

I would never buy another guy's car that is already totally in pieces (unless he was meticulous when disassembling it). How are you really supposed to know what you actually have and have not got?

I agree with Ken; "What these guys don't understand is that basket cases are worth maybe a quarter of what a running car would be worth".

YEP< well said guys, not too "cut up" anothers persons car or asking $$$ but the market has Tanked & people are trying to unload their toys that they have put "WAY too MUCH" $$$ into it in the 1st. place!!! & I agree with Pontiacanada, a Basket case is the "WORST" purchase you can make!! Been there Done that!! & NO Tee Shirt to boot!!! Having a discussion on another sight about this & how to set a price?? I've been told that what ever you ask "deduct' 35% & you may be "close' to what you "might get" Prices are falling fast as sellers realize the $$$ aren't there, & it's a BUYERS market, & they ARE NOT going to pay your price!!!! I gave up on selling the Catalina 2+2 didn't want all the "Harley's offered for "trade" & low ball offers with out even seeing the vehicle!!!!! Pete

Ya, and like the past couple years, they weren't blowing their own horn as usual by saying that "the collectors car market is still strong despite the tough economic times".

BJ auction's prices have been dropping like a kidney stone for years now ... keeping it (a little bit more) real.
