Yes, here they are folks, the much mocked and discussed T-3 headlamps!
I have a pair of T-3's that have been on the shelf since about 1986 when I bought my 65 Acadian. They worked when I boxed them. They fit cars with a single headlamp on each side.
If someone locally buys them, I will guarantee them to be working. If someone wants them shipped, I can test them before I ship, but I will not guarantee them to be working if Canada Post gets to rattle them around 1/2 way across Canada!
Don't even think of putting these in a car for any reason other than making your car original for a show. The intensity of these lights is pathetic. The ongoing dispute about them here on Canadian Poncho is much more intense.
They still have bug guts on them from 1986...
$25 pair plus shipping please.

If I recall, the T3's with the vertical lines within the triangle are correct for 68 & newer vehicles. I know 67 had no vertical lines and 70 did, but I can't remember exactly when they went to the verticle lines.
Good point, I should be clearer in my listing. I don't know that there are the originals from my 65 Acadian. I do know that I removed them from that car to put in halogens, but it's possible I had some T-3's on the shelf from who-knows-what and put them in to make it look original before I realized I couldn't drive safely with them in deer season!

"they look fake" ? ; ok, why do they look fake? . They actually look very, very real. Whether they work or not is a really big question. I have boxes of originals and just went through approximately 20 of them before I got 4 that would work in my Beaumont SD. For years I grabbed everyone I could find in the local wrecking yards however it didn't work out that great for me. Every time I plugged one in, it lit up and then the smoke started inside and it turned blueish and went out. They do sell reproductions for about $160 a set, however I've never owned a set and cannot comment about how good they are. I have been told that they are not perfect but I really can't say and if they work, thats great; I don't think I have enough originals for my Strato Chief so I'm even thinking of buying a set as I'm running out of originals. There is a way to adapt a T3 lense onto a halogen housing and bulb which is a compromise but gives you the best lighting overall, with the original look. In any event they look right in original cars and its fairly simple to do. I'm going to give it a shot and attempt to adapt the original plug into the halogen.

Actually, the instructions were posted on here, and it seems like a ton of delicate work (cutting glass very carefully with an angle grinder) to do it properly.
A lot of trouble to have brighter original-looking lights in my opinion, when the majority of classic cars hardly ever go out on long trips at night anyway.

Heres mine in the 54 laurentian, not sure if they are totally original but they have been in the car for at least 25 years. And yes t3 headlights on 6 volts are even more pathetic.
Obviously, except for show, antique T3's are no longer suitable for safe road use without perhapsan upgraded charging system. But the increased current would probably toast them
New Halogens installed on a stock system will bring the lighting up just close to acceptable. Upgrading your system to relays and Halogens easily brings the lighting up to modern standards. My Sylvania halogens are bright white.
But the T3's sure do look cool! I remember them as a kid thinking they were Canadian Tire units by the emblem.
I sold 4 perfect ones on ebay a few years ago for a very good buck. People still do want em!
