So just how rare are these? The orange one has a petcock in it, will be an easy fix. I got these in the Okanagen on Thanksgiving weekend when my lady and I were up there visiting good friends. Couldn't believe I found them.

They're worthless. Probably best to wrap them up and ship them to me in Regina. Truth be told I have no idea but far and few between. A really nice score.
One day I would like to find a set for a custom valve cover set I would like to make for one of my cars.
Ray, I have another set that are on an untouched '55 283 and the motor and covers are still a kind of grayish green, more gray though then the pic in your thread
I am going to restore it perfectly
I found a set over 30 years ago and gave them to a friend of mine who we call Mr Pontiac, he still has em, hanging on his wall in his house...

The original colour was more grayish, these samples are paints that are available today. The one I saw in person was an original 55 in the colour you describe. I've never seen it again on an engine. Brochures show various greens like the one pictured and samples in the library thread.
My neighbour called me this afternoon. He is doing up a 265 "display" engine and would like to know the paint code for this colour. Anyone able to help?

I have been looking for a pair of 1955 -57 Pontiac script valve covers for sometime. If anyone wants to sell a set in good condition please contact me at mac0751@aol.com. I'm located in Washington State. Send pictures please.
