All my wife would see is a blue car (or is it a truckbiggrin).

It sounds like a promising vehicle. Too bad the seller didn't include more pictures (interior). I have a thing for the GMC versions of these vehicles over the Chevy versions. I'd love to have a Diablo.

appraised at 18,000

somebody was in the "hooch"

267 was not much over a boat anchor lol

Never could figure why you buy a ElCamino and then add a topper/capper

Why not buy a wagon?

sorry  I think I have fatal flue

A friend had one that was loaded; I believe was a 350 ?? with 4spd. Had a terrible time trying to sell it. That was in the early 80's

Wow Dale the production numbers on a 350 stick car are really low . That would be a cool find today.

Only 485 made eh? I guess the mini pickups stole sales from that type of vehicle by then.

I still have the 1980 Cabellaro brochure that I got from Corfe Pontiac-Buick-Cadillac on Centennial Parkway in Stoney Creek. I liked the downsized El Caminos & Cabellaros, but the drivetrains were getting wimped out due to fuel economy standards. The nice thing about the 267 is that it is a nice placeholder for a better small block to get swapped in place. Those 267s had cam failures and not much power, what, 110 net or something? I actually preferred the 229 V6 because it was lighter and performed as good as the 267 as I recall. A friend's father had a 229 V6 1980 Malibu Classic as a company car. It performed well enough to surprise us when we counted the plugs under the hood.

I have often said that in a race, I bet me in my Reeboks would post a better 60' time than anything 267 powered. Sure good on fuel though, my friend's 267 Regal consistently pulled off over 30 mpg on the highway.

There is a livery company near us that still has a few of these in Black that are used as Flower Cars. I keep an eye out for a for sale sign every time I drive past.
