dual exhaust on IL6


On a 63 Acadian where does the dual exhaust cross over to the pass side ?

Here is how I did it. The car is a 1971 Nova with 250 6 cyl. The exhaust is a Summit 2.25" dual I got on sale. I fabricated the front downtubes. I believe 2" would be a better choice for power. It is raspy and sounds like the classic split 6. Not sure I am all together happy with the sound. I was hoping for something more mellow. I have a youtube video of the sound as well as my Kodak digital camera can reproduce it.

did you dump out the back or behind the wheels
also what are you using for a carb.

That looks so beautiful and i love the dare to be different and do you own thing aspect. V-8's are great but six in a row will go and go and go, plus you stand out in a crowd at any car show or cruise night. SIX BANGER'S FOREVER. Cheers. George.

i mostly hate the sound of my single exhaust
is it recomended to put a crossover like normally done in a V8
or it it ok that way.
im assuming from the pics the exhaust is going behind the wheels

As much as I'm not a 6 cylinder guy, I have to say this is cool looking stuff.

You have to love them to spend this kind of money though. I bet it's cheaper to build a V8!
