So what's the rule of thumb on appraisal and realistic asking price and what the car will be sold price (on most appraised cars)?

A pal sent me this link last night. What I find most interesting is the original air cleaner assembly and valve cover decals. I've since emailed the seller hoping for detailed photos of both, as there has been a lot of speculation as to... which air cleaner assembly is correct... what was the font like on the vc decals... did the air cleaner assembly also have a decal...etc.
If the seller forwards the pictures, we'll post them in the library.

"Appraisal" is what the insurance company will pay in case of total loss...

"Asking" is the dream of the seller

"Market" is a record of current selling prices.....

I have to admit I like the '70's sky-high stance. Put about 100psi in those air shocks and those rear tires would never rub. It'd ride like a buck board and with the front end way up in the air you'd never want to push it a corner above 50 mph - but it sure looks cool going in a straight line.
