1974's had fender call outs with 350    this is single exhaust    maybe a 6cyl ?   probably sat on dealers lot for the first few years

Got an answer from the owner and indeed it is a 250 inline 6 ... So, I don't feel so bad not buying it. I love the color combo, too bad it ain't a 455 4 speed car :)

Wow. That has to be the most "base" Firebird I've ever seen. 10 grand is still a decent price. Someone will likely buy it and swap in a 455.

I agree.  If they're ever  going to do a Rockford Files remake this would be the car to do it with.

Rockford files was one of the best TV shows of the 70's. Been watching an episode every night during dinner on Netflix. Rockford was a Private Investigator. James Garner also did his own stunts.

Wow,  saw it this morning on Kijiji,  i would asume it is sold,  what a beautiful time warp car,  i would not change or modify anything on this car period,  all the other idiots over the last 40 years took these cars and ruined them,  this is a true example of what real people drove daily.  Leave it alone please!!!!!!!  If you cant appreciate it the way it is,  then you should not own it.

Would love to know the history of this one.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH.  The other one has a longer roof.

I suspect it was a gift car fromm a proud father to his son or daughter.  They hated it so much (Dad!, a six what were you thinking?) that  it pretty much stayed in the garage until somebody died.

Had to be a pretty hot six though to have a 160 MPH Speedo eh?

I've actually been watching old Maverick episodes and now I know where Rockford came from. Its really just Maverick updated to the 70's  The Saga of Waco Williams Maverick episode is Lance White's archetype except that Tom Selleck had a lot more personality than the guy who played Waco did.

I'm sure he meant to say James Garner. I just read Garner's Autobiography. He had a rough childhood. It was interesting to read about when he filmed the move Grand Prix.

Walll, shut my mouth and call me mumbles. Sorry guys I'm just a huge run-off-at-the-mouth James Garner fan.  He's one of the only big stars that I know of that never became crazy or an A-hole.

However back to this car as unexciting as it may be.  Whoever buys it and pops in a big honking V8 can you please slip me the 250?  The one in my 69 Chevy pickup is getting a bit tired and this would be like new!
