That engine doesn't look like a 12,000 mile engine and the brake pedal seems to have visible wear, but I'm a skeptic.

The rest of it looks to be solid - a bit banged up maybe, but I don't see rust. Assuming it's not full of bondo from an accident, I would think a solid body like that would be worth the money, even if the "time-capsule" thing doesn't pan out.
