Starter bearing

Anyone know where I can get a new bearing for the starter? I haven't pulled it apart yet but it howls like crazy. I'm assuming there's a bearing and not a bushing. Thought I'd ask before I rip into it. Thanks

Have orderd bushing kits from local parts supplier, best to press them in/out with press or drill press as they are brass. Rear bushing has no pass through, so you will have to die grind old one out.

Canadian Tire used to sell starter rebuild kits, had the bushings, brushes, etc to refurb your GM starter. Dont know if they still have them

I've also bought them at Bumper to Bumper and Auto Value......the last time in 2004. Remember it was something like $15.00

Ok thanks for the input. I pulled it apart and it's the bushing by the pinion gear that's worn out. No bearings. I took it to the local machine shop. No problem
