Stamp pad don't look right.Looks like it's been double stamped-odd.I'd be really leary about bringing that one home. CRW is correct for a 4 speed LS6. CRR is auto.

CRV is the correct suffix for the M22 optioned LS6.  CRW is the code for the LS6 4:10 rear end.  My car had the CRV code for the M22 and the CRV code 3:31 posi rearend.

It looks correct to me, and I've seen my share of 70 454 stampings.

I WONDER IF THIS WAS A CANADIAN SOLD CAR OR IF IT HAS SOME SORT OF DOCUMENTATION. THAT TACH IS A BIT OF A HEAD SCRATCHER, BUT COULD HAVE BEEN CHANGED OUT AT SOME POINT I SUPPOSE. PERHAPS A FACTORY SCREW UP. CAR LOOKS PRETTY SOLID IN THE PICTURES.

THINK I'LL SEND THIS AD TO A FRIEND AND TEMPT HIM.biggrin

If its the real deal, 49K is a decent price...a couple of months ago a certified LS6 sold for less than 70K in the States. It was cherry, an automatic car and had lo and behold had the correct tach.

The double stamping is rare but did happen on occasion. It does look legit...

Buyer beware...

In 1996 I located for a childhood friend a 26,000 mile LS6 auto silver with black vinyl- Colorado car that spent its life in Calfornia until being imported to Canada (1989) the car was built in Arlington - extremely nice but did have a repaint - he paid $25,000 U.S. ($34,000 CDN) at the time -- I can honestly remember lots of people telling me what an over priced car it was and how bad I was for putting my friend onto it - he sold it three years later for $41,000 - it then got sold to Legendary who wanted $80,000 for it then sold it and took it back in on trade in again several years later then asking $110,000 for it - the car was at Cayuga with Dream car garage and used at the start of each show - was a feature (centerfold) in Muscle Car review 1989

This one reminds me of one from Winnipeg, Gold LS-6 with about 20,000 original miles that was for sale for $13,000 circa 1980? Memory recalls a 4spd but not certain. Woulda Shoulda Coulda. I would have abused it BADLY!!!!!

Yes... At the time you could buy a Very nice car for around $6000. There was a beautiful Black LS-5 stick car with centerlines for $5800.

Price seems high to me.    After restoration it would be about a $100K car.

has to be the one I was looking at Legendary back in 05. They were asking $89,000. I had it all opened up with a sale guy when someone with his sales guy came from the back and asked if I was buying the car. My sales guy said he is giving it a good look. The other sales man said then please close it up its sold. This guy bought it, a black L78 Nova and one other car. Gave up on the LS6 and I put my name down for a new 07 Shelby

There was one on ebay last year in BC that came from Washington and I think it's the same one, the pictures ring a bell. Wonder why it has the small block tack I guess it could have been changed at some point or it never came with one, I think it was an option on all SS.

Kevin, that was a one of one color on that car or at least that was the way it was advertised - painted for a football team or something
