Here is an ad for a car located in Millet, AB. It caught my eye because it claims a 396 but is also has a factory 4 speed power windows and tach all of which make it a really nice car even if the engine is not original. (Which I'm 90% sure isn't judging from the pictures that show the alternator on the right and the long water pump.)

I talked to the guy and he is a 66 year old guy that doesn't figure he has the time to go through it and is looking for offers, quick cash or trades. Seems pretty decent and he has promised to get back to me with the cowl tag production date that will help decide the engine mystery.

The price seems reasonable condering the rarity of the car with the 4 speed alone, not to mention the power windows etc.

I'm thinking it may have been a 327 car or even a 409 car originally but only a trip to George Zapora with the Vin will tell that tale.
