1965 ACADIAN BEAUMONT AIR-CONDITIONING - Ultra rare - B.C.

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/4545539147.html

Ultra rare, factory in-dash air-conditioning, pulled from car myself, put away over twenty five years, complete rust free firewall, cowl, windshield surround, dash, gauges,

controls, ducts, vents, heater box plenum etc all still attached as one complete unit, basically the entire front of car minus front clip.

Compressor, brackets and pullies all factory 283-327, brackets and pullies for 6cyl are available. Entire system is factory, not reproduction.

Everything date coded 1965, but will work in '64 too. No Beaumont ever came with factory in-dash a/c, instead you normally got under dash dealer bolt-on a/c box.

With this, you can have the only Beaumont with factory in-dash a/c in existence.

Approx. 25 years ago, a vendor at Waterdown, ON. Flea market, told me "he had a 1967 Beaumont 4 door parts car at home".

Car was priced at $500, only because he said "it had the factory in dash AC unit (all complete)".

I found a under dash unit AC instead, out of a 6 cylinder 1968 Nova.
- never went to see the $500 junker...in my travels: I never saw or heard of another factory AC unit, in a 1967 Beaumont

Interesting dash photo - were does the factory AM radio go ?

Stock location still, this unit is up above that where the stock heater control mounts, it just takes a bit more space.

In the 80's a friend of mine put a Lemans factory air unit in his 67 Beaumont. I have video of the interior of the car but no still shots of it.
