Beaumont Key Chains on Ebay, not mine.

If any Beaumont owners are interested in a key chain like the one pictured below, you can find them from a seller in the UK.  Mine just arrived today (10 days from the shipping date) I'm very pleased with it!  (see photo below)  Cost on the listing is in Pounds sterling, mine came to $15.97 Can. with shipping & exchange rate, not bad at all!  Looks like the seller has several to sell, after I bought mine it was re listed.  He claims they are new.

Do the maple leafs inside the spear look like leafs? The Ebay add looks realistic, but your pic doesn't look very clear... The price sure is right. You have me interested.

Tag looks great... 66BMT, I noticed that you don't have an original key on your tag... Do you have for your car?

Hi jlysholm, the top maple leaf is rather good, the bottom one is a bit shall we say distorted?  I will try to post a better pic shortly if I can make it clearer.

 Hi 67Poncho,

we only got one set of keys and both are not original GM, but are quite worn.  I tried to get a couple of copies made but none work properly.  I will get in touch with the person we bought the car from to see if he has another set available.  If not, I may just get a new ignition cylinder (it seems like the cylinder rotates too much when starting the car, so it may be worn out?) & door locks with new keys.  The glove box lock it shot anyway so I need to replace the entire lock.  No key for the lock and when I removed the cylinder from the housing a small piece of broken metal fell out.  Best to replace them with fresh locks I think.

I just looked at the Ebay photo again and I have to say that the photo looks pretty much like the one I got. If you are happy with the Ebay photo I think you will be happy with the one you get.  I just looked at the back of the metal disc and also see "Made in England" as Captain Beaumont mentioned in his post.  Here is a new  close up of my key chain.  Again, I'm happy with it.  May not be as precise as the maple leaf detail on the car emblems but it's pretty good considering it's rather small, the round disc is just over an 1" in diameter.  Hope this new pic helps?

Yup! ...that pic looks great! Thanks for posting. I'm now heading back to the add to press the all too familiar "Buy it Now" button  ;o)

Yes, I know the feeling about the "Buy it now" button! Just about to use it myself on a new glove box lock to replace my broken lock & cylinder.

...it had been awhile since I purchased anything on Ebay (forgot I had a $13 credit on my account) My old Pontiac keychain was looking tired.  Cheers!

NOT SURE IF YOU ARE AWARE OF THIS SO I THOUGHT I WOULD MENTION. IF YOU GO TO A GM DEALER WITH PROOF OF OWNERSHIP AND V.I.N. FOR YOUR CAR, THEY CAN CUT YOU A KEY BASED ON THE ORIGINAL KEY CODE. THAT WAY YOU ARE NOT GETTING A DUPLICATE OF A WORN OUT KEY. THE KEY WILL BE CUT TO ORIGINAL SPEC.

IF YOU FEEL THE LOCKS THEMSELVES ARE WORN THOUGH, PROBALY BETTER TO REPLACE CYLINDERS.

I agree... but his key he has posted does look terrible... As for replacing the cylinders, no need to... Just recode them.. The key you see above is cut with an actual key cutter, not copier....

I have cut and coded keys for years... I have all the parts required as I am sure someone a heck of a lot closer to you will too...

Thanks for the info guys, very helpful. Having just picked up the car on Monday I have not had a ton of time to discover all it's quirks. I'll keep you posted on what I find as far as the ignition cylinder & door locks.

Now there's a flashback, bought the '69 July of 70.
I was doing a walkabout along Vancouver's Main Street in September or October that year
and wandered into a small hardware type store.
They had a key fob rack by the key cutting machine and for giggles I gave it a spin..whoa, stop there, a Beaumont
Fob, on a leather holder, think it was 2 or 3 dollars and the only one they had.
Just trooped upstairs and had a look, yup, the bottom maple leaf is a bit "off" and it was made in jolly old England.
The leather's long gone, the enamel has departed in many places but it must be the same manufacturer, or someone bought their dies !

Gotta love the 'net, I'm thinking, sort of, of refurbishing mine, but, maybe just keep the history
Not about to recreate the leather though, as it it fits fine with what else is on the loup, the 2003 Eagle Motoplex NHRA division 6 finals key fob and the rest of the keys.

I saw the same thing after I bought mine, but then I noticed he listed another a couple of days later.  Same thing might have happened after jlysholm  bought his.  Hope he gets back to you and has more to sell.
