Wow, that has to be a rare one, even looks like the over drive wiring is intact !!
I'm straining my eyes, trying to see if its a 4 bbl?? The engine bay looks very unmolested.
I hope someone here buys it!!

Thanks
Randy

Wow that is a really rare package. If that car is all original the diff will have 4:10 gears and the parts book lists numbers for heavy duty rear axles and a positraction.I checked the parts book and was very surprised to find the posi numbers and the heavy duty axles specifically listed for 55 and 56 heavy duty series 20 and 22 meaning all Canadian built cars.I would buy that car in a second if it was closer to Timmins. Almost 2000 miles away from me. The engine looks to have an original gas line and clamps with a 4 barrell carb. I sure hope somebody gets that car if only for the powertrain.

Great buy, I have the same in-car heater that's under the dash on the passenger side.

That is interesting. I thought that Positraction didn't come out until 1957. 4.10 gears with o.d. is correct. Not a super strong drivetrain but it would work very well behind a 265 or 283 (no 283 until 57).

$800 for that, how far wrong could you go for that price?

I always thought posi was only available in 1957 too. I was really surprised to see it listed in my parts book. I know posi axles are about 1/8" shorter in length as I had to get some cut a long time ago. The parts book was published in 1957 but the listing is specific to 55 and 56 series 20 and 22.I wish I was closer I would own that car. My friends 56 Nomad with the original 265 powerpak and a 700r4 is a great crusing car getting 27 mpg with 3 adults and luggage on a 2000 mile trip. With the low first gear in the 700 r4 the 265 is peppy from a dead stop.
