Anyone have a pic of what the inside of a convertible rocker looks like, are they that hard to make yourself?

Inside the rocker is a torque box similar to a mustang.  There are also extra supports incorporated in the floor pan.  When the torque boxes go, open the doors and put the top down and the body will sag in the middle.  Not impossible to repair but much harder than putting a floor pan in a hardtop or sedan.  It really depends on how much damage is done.  If the torque boxes are rusting, cross bracing should be welded into the inside of the body immediately.  If there is a crack in the windshield or doors that won't close, walk away.

I've seen way too many of these unibody cars that people repair and then take to a body shop or frame repair and want them straightened.  They don't understand there is no frame to tweak, it's the body that is twisted and the shops generally will not even try.

That's 1250 convertibles built in Canada, not 250.

Ask seller for some detailed pics of rusty areas and several shots of the rockers from a chassis view. Might as well get some dash corner and cowl shots,and some close up of door gaps. That should tell the tale. If they are still reasonable that car is on the money.
