That is a smoking deal ! The car looks straight although I am sure it is a repaint. Everything is correct even the rear wheelwell mouldings were an accessory. Looks to have the acc. windshield washer mounted on a inner fender .If the car is not all bondo it is a fantastic deal. The carpet looks to be a replacement because the original is a daytona weave and the seats I cannot tell from the pics if they are recovered with vinyl instead of gaberdine cloth.Engine colour is wrong but might be a newer 261. This is one of the most interesting 55's that have come for sale in a long time. I would really like to see the data plate to see if the car was painted this two tone colour combination from the factory. I hope someone on here grabs it.

What model is this Al? What sort of scripts would the car have had from the factory. That rear wheelhouse rocker moulding is sweet.

Not a criticism in any way but those wheel discs I can't place, are they GMC or Chevy Truck 80's vintage ?

The car is a 2011D   Laurentian 2 door sedan.  No name markings anywhere on the Laurentian series in 55 also the Pathfinder Deluxe has no name markings. The Pathfinder has an emblem on the front fenders identifing it as a Pontiac only. This is why the 55 Canadian Pontiacs are incorrectly identified most times. The model number tells the story. On the Laurentian the wide stainless mouldings on the windows and the 3 stars on the fenders is the easiest way to id them from the two lower series.

It's a decent looker for sure. The hubcaps are GM truck from circa 1978

I too was puzzled as to what model it was. It's curious seeing that stainless trim behind the rear wheels on a 2 door sedan. I like this car.

The lower rear stainless trim was an accessory available from a GM dealer in 55. It is show in the accessory brochure in 1955. In 1956 this moulding became standard on Laurentians models. All series Convertible, hardtop and sedans 2 and 4 door. The moulding is also different from 55 to 56. The raised embossed area changes from lengthwise to an up and down pattern. 1956 saw a lot more bling as standard equiptment. The 55 Canadian Pontiacs also had the lower front fender and rocker panel stainless identical to the 55 Chev as accessory trim available which is not correct for an Americian model Pontiac.

I would have thought right away, that this is a Laurentian. It has the chrome around the side window areas. Looks to be a very nice looking car and the price only reflects, how bad the old car market really is.

Have to agree with George, was on KIJIJI & the "Rods are at "Give a way" $$$$ Can't build them for what their asking, 40/41 Willys coupe at $40,000 & can see $ 90,000 build. Economy not good & "Maybe" just maybe, MOE road side "hits" are taking there toll??? & owners are trying to "dump" the car on someone who is in the dark on this RIP OFF
