I've only heard of the Catalina's being built at Ste Therese plant for the 1970 model year. While this is advertized as a 70 Catalina 2+2, if it's a 2+2 then it's not a Catalina, and henceforth built in Oshawa.

Well I drove up to Prince Albert yesterday and picked this car up. (Sorry, crappy weather and thick skull prevented me from taking pictures). After loading the car, stopped by at Roger's place for a ""short"" visit. Ended up heading over to Steve's digs for an other ""short"" visit. Headed out south again and ended up at Vincent's shop to unload this treasure. One more ""short"" visit and off to Regina. Left at 7am and home by 10pm. Good day overall, got to chat with some great friends and had a good buddy along for the trip.

A gold star day.

The 70 2+2 was/is pretty beat, solid frame and the buckets console were still there. Windshield is cracked but the other glass is decent as well as all the stainless around the glass. Overall a parts car as it was a 350, TH400 car, both gone and the body is pretty rough.

....good you got it dcneric. It was listed last year with another car I called him about, surprised this one didn't sell till now.

Late year build should have a throttle cable instead of linkage, the Astro Vent nozzles will be black with just chrome around the edge of the nozzle, and there should be a support rod from the bottom of the dash (between the radio & the ashtray) going up to the firewall. All of those are mid-year changes.
