So not actually a movie car but a promotional vehicle. Not the same but still cool.

INTERESTING:

Burt Reynolds Net Worth: Burt Reynolds is an American actor, director and voice artist who has a net worth of $5 million dollars. Burt Reynolds rose to fame in the 70s and 80s, appearing in such films as "Smokey and the Bandit", "Deliverance", and "The Longest Yard". Since then he has appeared in such films and television shows as "Boogie Nights", "Without a Paddle", and "Burn Notice". Born Burton Leon Reynolds, Jr. on February 11, 1936, in Lansing, Michigan, he has been actively putting his acting chops on show in the ever-changing world of Hollywood 30 years from now. Be it in action or drama films, Reynolds has never ceased to dazzle audiences with his boyish charms and yet undeniably natural talents. Some of his most notable roles include "Deliverance" (1972), "The Longest Yard" (1975), "Smokey and the Bandit" (1977), "The Cannonball Run" (1981) and "Boogie Nights" (1997). He recognized acting as his true calling in the late 1950s, but still, it took him some time find his niche. He finally made his breakthrough with his role in the gripping thriller "Deliverance" that thrust him into the spotlight, finally putting an end to his dreams of football stardom. Easygoing by nature and enjoying a reputation of a ladies' man, Reynolds translated his early success in a great number of hit comedies and action flicks throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Of course, there were times when Burt Reynolds' career was shrouded with flops and personal setbacks, but he has established himself both as a Oscar winning actor and not so shiny director.

Financial Problems: In November 2014 it was reported that Burt is experiencing severe financial problems. He was allegedly forced to sell off many of his prized possessions and movie memorabilia in order to satisfy nearly $10 million worth of debt. He is also reportedly facing foreclosure on his Florida home after failing to pay $1.2 million worth of his mortgage payments. Burt declined reports that he was broke and claimed that he was selling memorabilia because he no longer has any use for it and was sick of seeing his face everywhere.

I was always a fan of WW and the Dixie Dance Kings with that cool 55 Oldsmobile.  Anybody else remember that movie?

Thats the one!  Have never seen that since I saw it in theatre.  Apparently it was a flop but I sure found it funny. Of course I'm not as critical as my muppet alter ego.

Interesting............. $60,000 to $80,000. I would think more like $6,000 to $8,000 in today's "real world". Not that it is not a nice car, just no where near that kind of dough. Just because it is a clone of a movie car, you have got to be freaking kidding me.

'good' SE cars are priced/sell between 20,000 and 30,000 , 'nice' ones more ', 'restored' ones are strong too, and survivors well hardly any out there- this one is quoted as 12,000 miles and Burt Reynolds personal car used as promotion for the movie - it'll go higher than the estimate

6000-8000 won't buy a project SE car in today's market and I'm generally pretty conservative when estimating market value

All them baby boomer's are the right age to be cutting the big check for these 'F' body cars

Go out there and check for yourself what $8,000 will get you in today's crappy market before you make your silly comments.confuse It is a buyers market just in case no one has told you. hmmThe market has never been this bad and for someone to think that this car is any where near this kind of value.................no. A very good friend of mine in Toronto own a 1979 T.A. that he bought new, he tried to sell it two years ago and all the test pilots and tire kickers were just offering $4,000 to $6,000. By the way, his T.A has just over 48,000 miles on it, is all original except for the usual wear items, runs and drives excellent and looks knock out. These are great looking cars but they as well as most old cars today, are not getting any kind of good money. The market sucks right across the board, except for the rich guys club at Barrett Jackson. My intent here was not offend anyone like Brian here, that likes these cars because i like these cars as well. Cheers. George.

wow   that was a train wreck  (de-rail)

This "is" Mr. Reynolds' 1977 Trans Am Coupe (T-Top) which was used as a promotional vehicle for the movie

and gifted to Burt for his collection.

With a gold plaque on the driver door stating "1977 Pontiac Trans Am Owned By Burt Reynolds"

and a customized "Bandit" logo, this is "no ordinary automobile";

it's a piece of "Hollywood History".

If the " intent here was not offend anyone", it's probably best not to start with "before you make your silly comments" LOL.wink  Agreed that if it was being sold in Ontario without any link to Burt Reynolds, nor any real exposure to the buying market... it would not garner much.  However, it'll be interesting to see what it fetches from the elite.  (All it takes is two who want it.)

And it is a great looking car.

Well, that sounds like market to me (under 10) its a 79 not a 77 and not an SE and I'll guess not black and not Burt's car and has 48,000 miles not 12,000 miles -- I also know of a clean 80 here in town orig owner orig paint nice for 12000 but its not Burt's, its, not black, its not a 77 and not an SE ---in the TA world 77/78's are hot, SE's are really hot - check the market - there is a black 78 SE on kijiji in Ontario for 28500 -- a gold 78 SE with 403 sold recently in Ontario mid twenties

you are correct about a weak market - overinflated shows on TV etc... but fact is the storey, condition, history and options will allow this car to fetch more than the estimate
