1966 Custom Sport, July 2013 Feature Car For Sale

Well after making a major financial decision, Carol & I are offering our 1966 Parisienne Custom Sport Coupe up for sale.  Yes, this is the same car that was the Feature Car for July 2013, so lots of information for it will be shown in  this great write up, done by Todd. The only things different, are the installation of GM rally gauges, mounted on the console, so they look like factory, correct spinner wheel covers, (original wheel covers come with the car) and a matching right hand door mirror.  Current documented mileage is 45,366 and a full history of the car can be provided.  We are the third owners.  All the original documentation comes with the car, Bill of Sale, Owners Manual, Protection Plan Book, Protect-O-Plate, V8 Engine serial number card and even the Salesman's business card! There is a shop manual also for the car. We also have copies of the two Ontario Safety tests, showing mileages, when car was sold to previous owner and ourselves. This car is a real survivor, 100% rust free, as never winter driven, a super time capsule.  Hopefully we can find a new, caring owner for it, as it would be a shame to see it modified in any way!  It is currently insured for $30,000.00, so we are asking $29,000.00, or will consider any serious offers. (Any Low Ball offers will be ignored). Car is located in South Western Ontario.  If you might have an interest in this exceptional automobile, kindly PM us and we will get back to you quickly, with any further information you require.  Thanks from Bob.

Gorgeous car !   probably best in the world...    I wish I had that kind of money for a toy

That car should be in a Musuem      good success with the sale...

btw         Perhaps that car should be at the Sloan Museum show in Flint ??     with the excitement of all the Canadian cars there it could be a easy sale.....wink

29,000 Cdn is "only" 23,000 U.S.

Yes Carl you are correct I would certainly consider any serious offer in US dollars!  As far as taking the car to Lansing that is not an option for me.  I do not have a Canadian passport and due to health issues cannot drive long distances.  Bob.

I hardly ever say this; but this is one car, that if I had a little more money, I'd own it.

Good luck with the sale.

I've seen this car a number of times at local shows and it is very nice in person. I don't know how it survived for so long, so minty fresh!

Having owned a 66 Custom Sport back in the early 70's that was on it's last legs from rust and year round driving in salty Nova Scotia its a real pleasure to see this survivor.

Well since no one won the lottery, but an Cdn Poncho member showed some interest in our 1966 CS, we were able to make a satisfactory deal.  The purchaser is an devoted multi Pontiac collector, residing in Ontario and will be keeping the car in its original condition.  It will be driven sparingly and most of the time will be on display, with his other cars.  He might acknowledge the purchase in a future post, but at the current time would rather remain anonymous.  So we are back to one collector car the 1958 Parisienne which we really enjoy and looking forward to the upcoming cruise nights and shows.  Bob.

Good stuff, sounds like it went to a good home.

I think we can narrow it down to one of 2-3 individuals but we need to respect his desire to remain in the shadows.

Congrats on the sale Bob. I'm sure I know who bought it and know it's in good hands. As for our Facebook page we have 563 likes so far. Only when I finally became a member did I realize how far reaching a "like" is. For example 1507 people on Facebook saw Bob's car for sale.
