'63 Update

We started on the 63 back in Headingley Mb. in '12. It had been about a five year project at that point, and had been driven on a regular summer cruize car. We made several trips to the'50's in it.

In the fall of 12 I had it partially dismantled and ready for a "little" body work that winter, along with a new interior.

In March of 2013 LJ and I decided on a move to Penticton B.C. The car had not been touched. Time for a long talk with a most incredible friend. John I need more help then we had begun with. CAN YOU put the car back together? Long discussion-decisions-AGREEMENT -deal! I am sure I have never tested a friends friendship like I did this time around.

John not only picked the car up but ended up with an essentially an on frame restoration including a fresh motor. The 327 was not strong enough for the M22/3:73 set and the weight of the Pontiac. I had an expensive set of hedders and really did not want to go to a Big block. I had the 350, 4bolt engine. It just needed some MONEY thrown at it. So we did. And it got bigger by 33 inches!

John threw his heart and soul with support from his wife in a project for a friend and his wife that lasted  Eighteen months. I am forever in his debt, because even though he has built many cars for himself --doing it for someone else is a whole 'nother story. The 63 emerged with a fresh engine a new LegendaryInterior and body and paint that have made me proud. I am now the happiest care taker of a pretty nice, fairly rare piece that we are going to drive and show around. The chief 001.JPG

By the way Dale, you likely don't even remember me but I used to stop in at Hamill Auto Supply to see Roy (I went with Lawrence Petroni who was my boss), lonnnnng ago, like late 70's. Seems to me you were around there sometimes were you not?

Very nice car. IMHO the 1963 Parisienne is a bit of a Pontiac anomaly in that the front end looks more like the 1965 than the '64 does.

Thank you Carl. Have sent you a "whiteboard" message. I am pretty pleased with the response to my blurb. It was a an anxious time putting this together, and I can't say enough  about John and  the work he did on our car.

Sorry for the time it took to reply, to you as well as the rest of the crew. I appreciate your comments, all of you. It sure is nice after the anxious years of waiting for it. John could not have been more in syc with me on the build.
