If that were close to me in S-W Ontario I'd own it............., as long as its not full of mud. It looks fairly straight to me.

Hmmm......looks suspiciously like the one I just sold !!

Even the same colour, painted under the hood identically. Same chrome tailpipe out the driver's side. Who would've thought?

Guy that bought it from me lived in Surrey.....

 I'd say that's your car.

i KNOW that's my car !

I'd say he decided it needed too much work, and gave up on it. If he was careful how he fixed a few things, he should be able to get his money back, anyway.

They are a nice looking car.

I'd say he's a flipper........and once he's interviewed all the same idiots that you did.........he'll figure out WHY you sold him the car for the price you did.....

He did a FINE job of washing it......wink

It gets even better. I delivered some 62 Parisienne doors to a guy on Monday. He went and looked at the car. This is a different owner already. The fellow I sold it to, dumped it within weeks, and now this guy has decided it's not for him. He dropped it from $6500 to $5250 already. Sounded like nobody had fixed anything since I sold it a couple months back. The guy that just looked at it figures it's worth about what I sold it for, which was about half that (in his opinion of course).

Things that make you go hmmmm......

Still, I'm glad someone bought it off me. No regrets on selling it cheap.

I don't think you sold it CHEAP.....you sold it for what it's WORTH......

Asking price is ONLY sellers "perceived" value.....NOBODY knows what their car is worth until it actually sells......

It appears, in recent years, that there is a whole NEW  generation of "wannabee" car flippers....that watch too many of those "reality" car shows on TV...

They SOON find out that nothing REALLY happens the way it is on TV........blankstare

Flipping cars is a thing of the past. Unless you get a special car for dirt, you are not going to get a whole lot of money for your time and effort.

I'll let Dave tell the whole story......but to answer your question with one word.........EVERYTHING.....

If it was out east   it might be considered "do-able"....but once you get past the shiny paint....almost everything is getting to the end of it's "wear cycle".

Out here...we just wait for a better one to come along...

Underneath would need most body mounts re-done and floor braces, unless they've been addressed. Exterior painted areas have numerous places where the old bodywork is failing or rust coming through. All needs to be re-bondoed, or cut out and done correctly, once again, unless it's been addressed. Last I heard, car had NOT had these things fixed.

Interior needed driver's door panel (missing), front seat re-upholstered, rear seat frame rebuilt and then re-upholstered. Plastic strips, carpet and sill mouldings needed installing.

Motor was good, transmission seemed okay, but had been sitting twenty years, so may start to leak and may not.

Convertible top wasn't working and rams weren't connected when I sold it.

All brake cyls were replaced by me, so the brakes worked. Power steering worked. Some play in the steering, but it's just Chevy parts so that would be cheap to fix. Windshield was broken.

Frame had some patches on it, but was actually really solid. I'd buy it back again, for the right price, and sell my 442, but for me the right price would be not super high.

If you had a hard-on for a 62 convert and you could weld and do body work, I think this could still be a fun car. Most of the chrome had been re-finished and was really nice.

I haven't actually looked at the car myself since I sold it a few months back, so I can't be 100% certain of it's condition. I'm going partly by what others have told me. Some things may have been fixed by now.
