Motor swap, son and I spent the day together re and re-ing his 4dr motor.

Great day with James, pulled the old motor out, cleaned and painted engine bay. Got the new motor sitting in place, just have to button everything up tomorrow. Was great to have him out working on his car with me. Hes just getting into learning about the tools and how things work and what they do on a motor. Just a great father son day.smile

Excellent! Some of my fondest childhood memories are of doing the same with my dad. Can't wait to make some with my own kids.

Nice job, BUT like that old TV commercial used to say at the end, Man " I COULD HAVE HAD A V8"

This is how I started working on cars with my Dad, now with my son and daughter. My daughter has a son on the way so I hope the tradition continues. James will be wearing out the hood hinges showing off his excellent motor that his Dad and he did. Beautiful work.

Sounds like time well spent. Touching story and great looking engine bay. And that 6 is just fine!

Now is when I sorta wish that I had kids or a family, after reading this, have to get very "creative" when I need a extra set of hands. My dad was never into mechanical work on car, or any handy work so never got that experience with him, being a Pharmacist, guess he didn't get "dirty hands"????

Got her running today. Still needs a bit of a fine tune but runs well.
