Front End Upper and Lower A Frames

Hi Everyone,

I have the 1967 Pontiac, Acadian, Beaumont Chassis Shop Manual PS 53-132 printed in 1966.

I also have an acquaintance, who considers himself somewhat of an authority on Beaumonts, mainly because he has owned 5 of them over some 28 years.

He told me that, from his experience ,  the upper and lower A frames on Beaumonts, especially the 66 & 67, are not the Same as A body Chevelle of the same years.

My manual dose not, or I have not found any reference in the manual saying so.

Can anyone clarify this for me , are they as rare as he is saying they are?

Any Help is appreciated

Dale

He is wrong

there is however a difference in upper control arms for 1964-65 canadian built cars.  the uppers have greasable control arm shafts similar to the trucks of that ere.  USA cars did not.

I have had about 20 or more 64-67 chevelles, canadian, US, wagons, sedans, chevelles, beaumonts, they are all the same, with the one exception i mentioned

Thanks for the clarification Gentlemen,
I didn't know the difference, and needed confirmation.
My concern was, as many of us have, is the what if scenario, what if I have an accident, what rare pieces would I need to put my car back together, that I may not be able to buy later???

Thanks again
Dale
