1966 Beaumont Tachometer

Does anyone know where I would find one that works, or something that will fit? I am looking everywhere but can't find one!

Thanks

An old Sun Tach II, seems to be the correct diameter...for the Beaumont dash housing.
- maybe a GTO Tach, is the same or very close to original...don't know if 1966 Goat Tach, is in reproduction

Take the clock out from behind(4 screws)  go to princess auto, buy their tach, its cheap and look like a sun super tachII,  friction fit it in the hole from the front.  I did it on 2 of my cars,  works slick and its cheap, quick and easy.  hard to see in the pic, but you get the idea.

Wow! That's a nice interior. I actually have a tachometer like that, but it shifts around a little driving down winnipeg roads, almost a perfect fit though. I also have another tachometer that looks exactly like the original one, friction fits really nice in the dash. However it doesn't work, or does randomly, might have something to do with my electronic ignition (from what ive read). Maybe I can interchange the board from the Princess Auto tach into the older one, see if that maks a difference.

I see tons of re manufactured tachometers on ebay and opgi, and they're like hundreds of dollars. That's pretty crazy for a simple circuit that you can build on a bread board! Blows my mind.

You may already know this but the correct 66 Beaumont factory tach is the 64 GTO tach.
