It's been perfect weather for doing outdoor chores lately . Perhaps a bit too warm next Tuesday and Wednesday. The property I manage includes on of PEI's historic lighthouses. It's always about 5 degrees cooler there so If it's too hot I'll find an excuse to hang out there!
All you people with a 1966 Grand Parisienne with factory air I Hate you
LOL, I don't have it hooked up yet. I've been too busy lounging at the lake and when I'm home, stripping parts out of the Strato Chief wagon for some guy near Niagara Falls

Lots of solar flares this week and a few are sending Coronal Mass Ejections (CME's) to earth. On the bright side (no pun intended) you'll likely see the "northern lights" this week. On the dark side this energy will likely wake up the Atlantic as far as storms are concerned. My son noted to me the other night that this summer almost mirrors the summer that we had Fiona. That year we had a fantastic summer. Our fruit trees produced a lot of fruit including cherries for the first time etc. Last year was a dud for the fruit trees. This year- we have cherries, mulberries, even pears for the first time. Fiona formed not long after a couple of good sized flares. Let's hope I'm wrong!
Had a few warm days out west, got into the mid 30's for a bit, heat pump worked well. LOL. Last couple of days have given us some Much need rain, hopefully
help with the forrest fire situation, again BC and Alberta are burning up. Only 1 fire on the island, close to Jims place In Sooke, hopefully they get a handle on it soon.
Next week looks to be back into the warmth again, low 30's far as one can see. Back to previously programmed Cruisin time.
Headed off to the Northern Ohio Chevelle show in Strongsville Ohio this weekend . They have had no rain for awhile and of course there is 2 days this weekend then nothing after :(

Last year we had forest fires and floods. This year has been pretty nice.
They are saying that sand blowing into the atmosphere from the Sahara has calmed the hurricane season temporarily. I am at the point of whatever happens happens. Enjoy the day and tomorrow will take care of itself. It's not like there's anything we can do about it, anyhow.
This is the first information statement from the Canadian Hurricane Centre on Hurricane Ernesto.
The next information statement will be issued by 3:00 p.m. ADT Thursday.
We are monitoring the development of Hurricane Ernesto which will begin tracking northward toward Bermuda Thursday and impact that island Saturday. The hurricane is forecast to be rather large, intensify to category-3 level, and generate large ocean swell that will begin arriving along the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia on Saturday. Increasingly hazardous surf and rip currents can be expected Sunday. Beachgoers and sightseers are encouraged to exercise caution.
Our understanding as of Wednesday evening is that the track of the storm center is expected to be south of Nova Scotia as it travels northeastward. It is too early to know if any of the storm's circulation reaches Nova Scotia. There is a slightly greater possibility of Ernesto influencing weather over Newfoundland. Interests in Canadian offshore zones should certainly pay attention to this storm.
An update to this bulletin is planned for Thursday afternoon where we may extend the in-effect coverage to land areas. Regular 6-hourly bulletins and forecast tracks from the CHC are planned to begin Friday afternoon.
