Trying to figure out what i have exactly

I have a 1959 Strato-Chief that i acquired for my first resto i have never done anything this old and I'm having a tough time figuring out exactly what i have here..... So the seal I found on the drivers door jam says.......

Serial 9711919595

Engine W9159428

........ I cant get a straight answer from anywhere... since every site I look at is american which is a little annoying hahabiggrinbiggrin anyways than the tag on the drivers side firewall is as follows

Style 7119

Body 719570

Paint 2204

Trim 833

.............. Again cant find anything online that matches this tag. THAN i was told its a 261 and from somethings i have found online indicates it is..... bare with me the engine is incredibly dirty and I`m trying to dismantle to send it in to be cleaned and checked for cracks, any ways I have the two ll on the passenger side of the block along with the same W9158428 thats found on the door.... it is stamped in two different spots on the passenger side. than i found a casting number of 3759365 I believe... really hard to tell.. im not sure about a casting on the head yet... is there anyone out there that can help me figure these numbers out???? any info is appreciated thanksconfuseconfuseconfuseconfuseconfuse

Welcome sphinx! I'm not  the guy to decode this 100% but it sounds like you have an original engine 261 Strato-Chief model 9119 is a four door sedan 2204 is Haven Blue with 833 blue interior. The W in the engine code stands for 261 - 6. Lots of other experts on here that this is a piece of cake for so just standby and it will all become clear.

Contact Vintage GM Canada and for a fee, they will tell you what those numbers decode as. They also provide this in writing to authenticate your car and tell you when it was built and where it was sold.

Your car being prior to 1964, they won't be able to give you an options breakdown at Vintage GM Canada.
