My book doesn't say what colour paint code F is, but I'd say that blue is original, 1960 Pontiac 2 door sedan, 261 6 cylinder Strato Chief. Nice car. What do you plan to do with it?

I know the car is in it's original blue color, just wondering what shade they are calling this 'F' blue. I wanted something from 1960 and this car was number one on my radar. I like the looks way better than the 60 Chev, the front end and grill seem too flat for me on the chev.
My plans for the car is getting it running and driving after it's 32 year hybernation. I replaced the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, points and condensor. With a little primer gas in the carb she came to life, but like a 55 year old that has been sitting for awhile, she started to leak here and there after running for ten minutes. I now have replaced the heater hoses, rad hoses and thermostat. I also have to replace the oil lines from the motor to the oil filter canister. But she ran....after sitting in the guys garage for 32yrs she ran....WAHOOOO.
This winter I will be replacing floor boards and getting the seats redone.
My goal with the Chief is to start a resto-mod this summer. I will enjoy the car for a bit first but eventually I will be stripping a 1975 Monte Carlo 454 Turbo 400 that I have taking up space at my place and putting the parts on the Chief. From the 454 to the front spindles everything that I can fit on the Chief from the Monte will be swapped over. I will be keeping the original parts stored away, just like I have done with my 72 Camaro SS396 that I resto-moded.

Cool car, a 2 door sedan, and it looks in pretty good shape too!

I see on the registry that paint code "F" is Royal Blue.

Good stuff ... looks like a great car to start with. How's the interior besides the seats?

Each foot well needs to be replaced. That will be my project for this winter. Also there are two small spots of rust to be repaired in the trunk. The more I look at the car the more I'm impressed with the style. The fact that the chrome on the side is inlayed into the fender as apposed to just stuck on the outside, very cool. I have only one piece of chrome to find and that is the small triangle piece on the drivers side of the very back of the trunk lid, and one chrome "Strato Chief" fender emblem.
