60 firewall color question

Does anyone know if the firewalls color in 1960 was always the same color of the car.? Still trying to figure out what color my Parisienne was . I know for sure the firewall and door jams were black as the firewall still had the manufactures # S marked on it before I sand blasted it . Thx

I can tell you that the firewall on 1960 Canadian Pontiac's were painted the same color as the exterior body. Also inside the trunk the wheel wells etc. were the same as exterior. As 427carl suggests, perhaps the original color of the car was black.
