Collectors Dream????

I guess one could ignore the furry dice....but I just don't understand how ANYBODY....could be proud of their 64 Custom Sport with those horrible looking hemeroids hanging over the rear wheels....confuse

Looks like it could be a decent car........but seller is delusional on his price......Perhaps a 327 300hp stick......but we really DON'T know what's under the hood.....(no pics)

Note the clock delete....pretty uncommon...on Custom Sport 'vert..

A 409 4 speed 64 Custom sport convertible might go for that much but not this one.

Nice car, overpriced, and the skirts are removable.

That seems like a strange colour combination in the interior - is that original?

In a 64 Custom Sport.....appointment mix interiors were available in Parchment/Blue.....Parchment/Saddle....Parchment/Maroon and Rose and Maroon....

This one WAS prolly Saddle/Parchment......but has been redone...seat and door panel pleats are not original.....and carpet color looks more orange than Saddle...

Over all it looks to be a nice car. The interior colour combination is striking and the seats appear to be done by a professional as the vinyl is nice and tight. I suspect the owner had a bunch of work done professionally and he's trying to not to lose the farm.

Not that I could afford it or would want it but if one does rough numbers. If the work is farmed out, $6,000 for a solid car to start with, $15,000 for body and paint, $3,000 to $5,000 for chassis and power train and another $5,000 for the interior. That is a cheap build. The cars the local shops do bumper to bumper, labour and material is going for $60,000 plus.

The convertible I just picked up is trim # 263 (rose & maroon combo).
