Duplicolor or Plasticoat................Forgettaboutit!! I've tried all of them (including Chevy) and they aren't even close!
Andre's picture is pretty close. My personal opinion is that it's slightly more blue/green based on traces of paint found on a couple of motors.
I'll post a pic of mine and the supplier and number of a rattle can (but it's in the US).

Not much in the library on flatmotors.....I'm almost leaning towards Plasticote Alpine Green.....It DOES look a bit lighter....but I'm not painting the complete motor right now..and the lighter color will age, fade and blend quicker...

Just an FYI......

As I understand it....the Pontiac flat 6's were made in America....NOT Canada,,,,and it looks like the Americans haven't figured out the color yet EITHER...

Bill hits home is the only one who makes the true Color for the 54's.Only problem is,unless they've changed from the last time I ordered a quart, they don't ship to Canada.I had to ship mine to s buddies in Montana and he brought it up with him when he returned .Hopefully they have changed their policy

Most US companies won't ship paint to Canada ... it is deemed hazardous material.

Hazardous material? They can ship it across the entire U.S. but once it hit the border it detonates? More likely the shipper's head explodes with all the paperwork that goes with shipping "hazardous" material. They can ship a tanker car on a train that has enough potential to level Lac Megantic, but a single rattle can for a hobbyist is viewed as a threat? Maybe one should order it from China, as hundreds of uninspected shipping containers come in from China, the land of no safety standards or scruples. Life can really be a mystery at times...

Yes, I guess it's a paperwork "spaghetti factory" to ship paint internationally. WHMIS certificates/fact sheets, declarations, and whatever else. I would just declare the package as (4) cans of beans.biggrin

Sorry for the delay- but here's what I believe to be a close match.

If you're on the left coast, I can probably get my brother to get it back across when he visits me in Oct.

I just couldn't go with the green color. I selected Pontiac metallic light blue from POR15 engine paints. Very pleased with the results despite the non period correctness.

Still looks nice in my opinion. Did you high-heat, cast iron paint the manifolds also Brett?

yes manifold  grey high heat - cooked off in my BBQ. So far no discoloration from heat.

I "baked off" the high-heat paint on my manifolds in our kitchen oven (luckily my wife was on a trip to the States). Don't ever do it.disbelief I had to air out the house!

I've had really decent results with the Bill Hirsh" brush on" exhaust manifold paint....

You can paint over clean. wire brushed ( on the car) manifolds...No oven baking required....

And a quick touch up is a BREEZE...
