Funny,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontiac_Bonneville has very little transmission info where as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontiac_Catalina has it all.

Cliff will know wink

I know a guy in New Jersey (he's the guy that bought the yellow 70 2+2 hdtp from Dave Wach) and he has a 70 4 dr hdtp Catalina or Executive that's 3 speed standard.  They still call it a stick even though it's column shift.

However, I suspect there would be very few, if any standard shift 70 Bonneville's.

I believe 1970 was the last year Pontiac used the Dearborn, (Ford) 3 speed standard transmission.

Thanks

Here's a Catalina wagon:

Off topic a bit, but that green wagon is actually a Ventura.  The Ventura was a trim package, and used the same interior as the Canadian Parisienne.  The Ventura nameplate can be seen on the fender and on the woodgrain on the passenger side dash.  You don't see many of them.

I saw the Ventura badge, but assumed the Ventura was a trim level off the Catalina line.  Admittedly I don't know the intricacies of all American Pontiacs.

Interestingly enough, I don't see the Ventura mentioned at all in this US brochure:

I learned something new. I didn't realize the 455 was the standard engine, 400 was "available".
