Edelbrock 1406 Carburetor No Electric Choke...was removed to put on new 1405

I have an Edelbrock 1406 for sale that came originally with my 67 Impala 283

When I got the 350 Crate motor we just switched it over.

The crate recommended a 1405.

Many attempts to get better gas mileage have failed

I bought at Edelbrock 1405 and switched the electric choke over to the new carb.

Looking to sell the 1406 with a complete set of jets for 250.00

Can't ship this item as it has had gas in it.    Will deliver up to 150 km or meet you half way.

Hmmmm ... I shipped my Demon carb that was run for a while on the engine dyno, so it had had gas in it ... I don't remember anything prohibiting it (I shipped via UPS, not postal service) but then I didn't really look at the fine print ... it was even in the original Demon box, which obviously was no problem for the shipping company ... had been sitting a while so no smell ... of course this was in USA not Canada ... ???

Maybe if there is no gas smell it would prove no volatile substance so it would be OK to ship?
