Yeah me too! That dash and wheel look factory fresh.  Very nicely equipped  with a sprightly 327.

Looks cool with the white interior too. The shaded glass goes really well with that colour too.

Overall a car to drool over!

It belongs to a buddy of mine.....NOT for sale.......but I'm sure I will get first shot at it.... if he changes his mind...

He bought it 10 years ago...from the estate of the original owner...

The factory A/FM was added recently...and the fenderskirts were DELETED....(my kind of guy)...but I don't really mind them on 66's..

 The Oshawa docs state...one of 5200?...1966 Grand Parisienne 2 doors...(they built a 4dr ht. as well,I think?)

First year for the Quadrajet....it's got some different stuff going on....

Yes, I think the number they throw around for the 2 door is 5147. I can't recall for the 4 door but I think it's fewer.

I can't quit looking at it, that is one beautiful car.

The numbers I've heard from GM were 5147 for the 2 door and 1200 (unverified) for the 4 door hardtop.

Anyway you look at it it doesn't make for a lot of Grandes.

Very nice car! You mentioned it being from Trapp Motors...any chance the owner has a dealer emblem or maybe a picture of one? I am still looking for one!

I grew up in the area.....and if there was I metal one...I don't recall seeing it.......

As I recall...they just used the plastic/vinyl stickers...which were obviously removed/destroyed for repaint...

If memory serves.....they started out on Columbia St....right in the middle of the "Golden Mile".....and the Trapp building.....which was built around the turn of the century...was restored recently....the façade,anyways....

Also known as Trapp Town on Columbia.

In the late 60's/early 70's.....they moved into a new modern building on North Road in Coquitlam...just south of Lougheed mall...but didn't survive the early 80's recession......

I grew up in Burnaby, just up the hill from New West. My father bought two vehicles from Trapp Motors, a '57 Pontiac sedan delivery and a '64 Pontiac Laurentian 4dr sedan, which was my first car that I bought from him. I cannot recall the dealers sticker being metal. I will have to dig out some of the old photos and see if I can find a picture of one.  This brings back some very good memories.

Forgot to mention what a great looking '66 Grande. Love to see the '66's since there seems to be so few around.

found this on the 'net....Canada's OLDEST GM dealership

TRAPP MOTORS LTD (GM), New Westminster, BC
Trapp Motors Ltd was a General Motors dealership located in New Westminster, British Columbia. The dealership was established by Thomas Dockrill Trapp as an extension of his father's dry goods shop. Other sources mention that Ben Stevenson's existing dealership and garage named Royal Motors in Surrey, BC was bought out by Trapp.
Thomas Trapp was born on July 27, 1888 in New Westminster, B.C. Thomas was the only son of Thomas John Trapp I to survive WWI. Thomas worked in his fathers store until he had built up capitol to open a car dealership. In 1929 Thomas established Trapp Motors. Trapp Motors is credited with being Canada's oldest GM dealership and carried McLaughlin-Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and GMC trucks. Because the Canadian market was smaller, GM eventually split up dealerships to spread the distance between competing brands. Trapp retained Pontiac Buick GMC.
Thomas's son, Thomas John Trapp II was born October 31, 1913 in New Westminster. After serving in WWII Thomas took over Trapp Motors when his father died in May, 1947. In August, 1967 a huge new dealership was built at 321 North Road at Lougheed Highway with a distinct 'Jetson's' style of modern architecture and signage. Trapp's Surrey Car Center was located at 10157 King George Highway, N. Surrey, B. C. The move out of New Westminster seemed like a good idea. The gigantic facility housed massive inventory of new cars and parts and offered numerous service bays. The overhead proved too prohibitive and this location had to close in 1971. Thomas John Trapp II ran the remaining Trapp dealership until 1974 when he retired. Thomas was keen on yachting and took many trips. Thomas passed away December 12th, 2001.
