Seems like a very up front description of it though, he gets credit for knowing what is right on it and what is not.

One question though. Are the door panels the same as Lemans? I thought they were unique to Beaumont.

doors don't fit properly, trunk lid fit is terrible, missing many of the   tail panel letters . For my own interest; what was the first year for AC ?? , Had a customer who had a '69 with AC.

As for the door panels I believe they where different. Always sold Chevelle panels  on the Custom.

Parts book and assembly manuals both show 1967 as being the first year for A/C in a Beaumont, Dale.

I saw a '68 Cutlass convertible with factory AC at Dom's Auto Wreckers (outside Oshawa, ON.) in the late '80s.

For 66 the Beaumont Custom (including Sport Deluxe) used the Le Mans door panels & equivalent Chevelle seat upholstery. The base series used pure Chevelle 300 door panels & seats.

For export. Done very rarely. They didn't bother for the Canadian market.

1968 was the first year for general availability of a/c in a Beaumont (66 for the Canadian Pontiac Big cars). 68 was also the first year for the H.D. Radiator with a 396 on Beaumonts or Canadian-built Chevelles.

Someone once told me that 66 Beaumont door panels are unique. Not true then...

I knew the seats were Chevelle but the door panels intrigue me now. I wonder where he got that idea that they are different.

The door panels on the one posted look very similar to the original ones in mine - except mine has a 'chrome' strip that runs along just under the arm rest (and the SD emblem).

Here's a picture that shows mine (not a great picture - it wasn't intended to show the panels). Looks like the same pattern embossed in it.

Here's the one in the eBay listing:

I wonder if the '66 Beaumont Custom had the chrome strip?

Other than that, the PUI ones look great!
