freshening up beaumont sd

Hello everyone I decided to freshen up my  Beaumont sd so it's going to the shop on Monday.few questions I like asnswered please.i will be there taking some mouldings off and afradi some of these new kids are not familiar with some of these clips holding the mouldings.first my side fins need to come off.they are aftermarket and in chrome,i ike to put them back to original body colour with the edge in chrome.i guess this is simple enough to take off once I remove inside panel.what is worrying me is the bottom railings ,are they clipped on or bolted on,i hate to bend the moulding.next is the lettering are they the push in clips and whats the easiest way to take them off.and I know from past experience the moulding around rear windowwoulld I need a special tool.thanks guys but a little of your knowledge could save me lots of running around and money.

There's screws underneath, undo those, then gently push up on the trim. It just hooks on on top. You just have to be careful not to scratch the paint since they slide up and down maybe 1/4" on the body.

SD on the trunk lid is push in. All the trim on the back panel is studs and speed nuts if I remember correctly.

I have seen a tip about using a strip of masking tape on the body above and below to prevent scratching the paint prior to removal of the trim. Helps with re installing the trip Cliff

great job i must say,car is all stripped and a simple task.i spent more time on here asking stupid questions you guy must have thought this guy should be sitting behind a desk. real reason i have a lot of money invested in this beaumont and just want to make it better and better. the thought of bending or breaking something would have really annoyed me.anyway guys car is at the shop and hopefully it gets started on for it seems it's just a show piece for every customer that walks in.if you guys have any suggestions about anything please feel free to tell me,thanks

Isn't that one bolted on? It's been 30 years since I've had mine off, but if we're talking the same peices around the bottom of the roof for the vinyl top I though they had studs.
